Economic analysis of urban areas, emphasizing current problems, such as spatial concentration of poverty, lack of access to jobs and financial services, and transportation systems. Examines the role of policy in addressing these problems. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Economics 334K, Urban Studies 322E, 351 (Topic 2). Prerequisite: Economics 420K, 420S, 421K, or Finance 321K with a grade of at least C-.
