A survey of the origin and growth of the American constitutional system with an emphasis on the development of civil rights and civil liberties in America. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Government 320N and 357M (Topic: American Constitutional Development II) may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Six semester hours of lower-division coursework in government.
