Urban Studies
The Urban Studies degree program is administered by the Department of Geography and the Environment. Students must be admitted to the degree program. They may apply for admission after completing the following requirements: Mathematics 408C or 408K with a grade of at least B-; Mathematics 316 or Statistics and Scientific Computation 305 with a grade of at least B-. Other comparable courses may be used if approved.
Major
Twenty-four semester hours of coursework, consisting of
- Urban Studies 301, 315, and 360
- Urban Studies 370 or an approved equivalent course
- Twelve additional hours of upper-division coursework in urban studies
Minor for Urban Studies Majors
Twelve semester hours, including at least six hours of upper-division coursework, in any one other field of study in the University. Six of the required twelve semester hours must be taken in residence.
