Fees for Nonstudents
Auditor’s fee. A fee of $20 a course is required of individuals not registered at the University who wish to audit one or more courses. In accordance with section 54.210 of the Texas Education Code, a person sixty-five years of age or older may audit a course without paying the fee if space is available. Library card fee for non-University borrowers. Libraries are open to the public for use of materials. Adult Texas residents who are not members of the University community may borrow materials for home use by purchasing a Courtesy Borrower Card. More information about the Courtesy Borrower Card is given in The University Libraries .
The Big Ticket (replaced the Longhorn All-Sports Package). The Big Ticket is available for purchase to only full-time, registered students at the University of Texas at Austin. For football, one guest season ticket may be purchased by a Big Ticket purchaser for an additional $405 (plus $20 transaction fee). These tickets are reserved seats next to the purchaser's Big Ticket reserved seat and may be used by any guest of The Big Ticket purchaser. Recreational and facility use fees. Recreational Sports memberships, which allow access to University recreational facilities, are available to current faculty and staff members and one adult exercise partner and dependent children of currently enrolled students and current faculty and staff members. The recreational facilities are Gregory Gymnasium, the Gregory Gymnasium Aquatic Complex, the Recreational Sports Center, Anna Hiss Gymnasium, Bellmont Hall, the Commons Recreational Area at the J. J. Pickle Research Campus, Caven Lacrosse and Sports Center at Clark Field, and Whitaker Fields and Tennis Courts. Below are RecSports membership fees. Additional information is available from the Division of Recreational Sports Membership and Guest Services Office, GRE 2.200. A $15 replacement fee is charged for RecSports identification cards.
