The Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin was established in September 2013 and has been designed from the ground up as a 21st-century medical school at a top-tier U.S. research university in a vibrant, entrepreneurial, socially conscious and conscientious city. The Dell Medical School aims to measurably improve health by educating leaders, developing new models of care, advancing innovation from health products to health care delivery, and building models that scale for increasing impact. As part of a groundbreaking role for academic medicine in rethinking and redesigning health care to enable better health for all, the Dell Medical School awards a Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.).
