Same as Government 319C, Mexican American Studies 318F, and Sociology 309D. Examine the complex relationships between and among Black and Latinx communities and the political and structural forces and contexts that shape their interactions. Explore Black identity within the Latinx population, racial politics, coalitions of Black American and Latinx groups, race among Latinxs, racial inequality, and the politics of immigration. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
