Emphasize the responsibilities of leaders of character within the profession of arms by shifting focus from individual development to leading and developing others. Explore essential leadership concepts such as listening, followership, problem solving, and interpersonal communication, and apply these principles through team-building activities. Reinforce an understanding of leadership in a military context while developing basic verbal and written communication skills applicable to academic, professional, and personal environments. Gain insight into how effective leaders operate and how cohesive teams contribute to mission success, through discussion and practical application. One lecture hour a week for one semester.
