AMS 362N AMS 362N. Memory and Place After the Holocaust. 3 Hours.

Same as German, Scandinavian, and Dutch Studies 362N, Jewish Studies 363 (Topic 35), and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies 325 (Topic 39). Examine the literature of Eastern European Jewish Holocaust survivors and their artistic successors. Engage novels, short stories, memoirs, essays, and even song lyrics with questions of memory and of place. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: American Studies 362N, German, Scandinavian, and Dutch Studies 362N, Jewish Studies 363 (Topic 35), Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies 325 (Topic 39). Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
