Examine how Taiwan has transformed itself since the end of Japanese colonialism in 1945 through literature, films, and other cultural products, such as popular music and arts, in postcolonial Taiwan. Asian Studies 372 (Topic 37) and 372M may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
