Same as Asian American Studies 330L and Asian Studies 348D. Examine the history and culture of the Himalayan region, including Northeast India, sections of Pakistan and Afghanistan, Tibet, and especially Nepal. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Anthropology 323P, 324L (Topic: Anthropol of the Himalayas), Asian American Studies 330 (Topic: Anthropol of the Himalayas), 330L, Asian Studies 348D, 361 (Topic 27). Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
