Intensive cultural and literacy-focused training in Arabic at the low-intermediate level in preparation for research in the Arab world or with Arabic sources. Incoming students are placed in the appropriate level by means of a departmental placement test. Six lecture hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Graduate standing and Arabic 381H with a grade of at least B.
Restrictions: Not open to native speakers of Arabic.
