Intensive cultural and literacy-focused training in Arabic at the intermediate level in preparation for research in the Arab world or with Arabic sources. Incoming students are placed in the appropriate level by means of a departmental placement test. Six lecture hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Graduate standing and Arabic 381J with a grade of at least B.
Restrictions: Not open to native speakers of Arabic.
