Same as Latin American Studies 327 (Topic 8) and Radio-Television-Film 359 (Topic 11). Exploration of the historical and aesthetic linkages and affinities between filmmakers and photographers working in greater Mexico, including prominent visitors and Americans of Mexican descent. Considers how Mexican culture is represented but also how borders between Mexico and the wider world--as well as among media--were blurred or brought into sharper focus by these exchanges. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
