Overview of the core concepts of biomimetic microengineering with particular focus on engineered microphysiological models of human organs, tissues and disease pathophysiology. Biomedical Engineering 369 and 377T (Topic: Biomimetic Dsgn/Engineering) may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Upper-division standing, Biochemistry 369 and Biology 311C or 315H with a grade of at least C- in each.
Restrictions: Restricted to biomedical engineering majors.
