Planning and design of commercial chemical and biochemical reaction systems for producing fuels, polymers, specialty and consumer products, pharmaceuticals, solid-state devices, and other products. Chemical engineering majors must make a grade of at least C- in this course. Three lecture hours and one recitation hour a week for one semester.
