Examines lying and deception as civil, strategic, and manipulative behavior. Secrets, privacy, disclosures, and confidentiality are examined in a variety of familiar contexts. Communication Studies 344K and 367 (Topic: Lying and Deception) may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
