Introduction to quantum mechanics; atoms and molecules; electron statistics; quantum theory of solids; electronic phenomena in semiconductors; and device applications based on these phenomena. Electrical and Computer Engineering 334K and Electrical Engineering 334K may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
