Explore organization, design, simulation, synthesis, and testing of digital systems; hardware description languages (HDLs); field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs); hardware implementation of arithmetic and other algorithmic processes; state machine charts; microprogramming; and microprocessor design. Electrical and Computer Engineering 460M and Electrical Engineering 460M may not both be counted. Three lecture hours and three laboratory hours a week for one semester.
