Examine mathematical treatment of microeconomic theory with application to real world subjects. Explore mathematical methods used by economists and apply them to analyze consumer behavior, choice under uncertainty, theory of the firm, game theory and general equilibrium. Only one of the following may be counted: Economics 420K, 420S, 421K, Finance 321K. Four lecture hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Economics 304K and 304L with a grade of at least a C- in each; Mathematics 408D, 408L or 408S with a grade of at least C-; and one of the following with a grade of at least C-: Economics 329, Biomedical Engineering 335, Chemical Engineering 253K, Electrical and Computer Engineering 351K, Mathematics 358K, 378K, Mechanical Engineering 335, Statistics and Data Sciences 378, or 431.
