Issues may include the structure and functioning of cities, rural-urban migration, the sectoral composition of GDP and employment, and determinants of growth. Only one of the following may be counted: Economics 355, Latin American Studies 355 (Topic 1), Urban Studies 351 (Topic 1). Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
