Introduction to atmospheric science, including atmospheric radiation, circulation systems, thermodynamics, and cloud and precipitation processes. Discuss tornadoes, hurricanes, weather systems, and contemporary climate change to provide an opportunity to relate basic principles to real-world phenomena. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
