Same as Asian Studies 355E. Explore the political economies of East Asia with an emphasis on Japan, China, South Korea, and Taiwan. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Asian Studies 355E, 361 (Topic 36), Government 365E. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing and six semester hours of lower-division coursework in government.
