Explore alternatives to nation-state imaginaries across Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Examine spatial thinking, utopia, dystopia, the history of geosciences, counter-mapping, and the decolonial geopoetics of space. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Comparative Literature 323 (Topic 78), Geography 328E, History 361U, Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies 335 (Topic 37). Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
