An introduction to the history of relations between the United States and Latin America. Designed to prepare each student for a potential experience in Latin America (or with Latino communities in the United States) such as study abroad, research, and/or community engagement. Only one of the following may be counted: History 361Q, 363K (Topic 1), Latin American Studies 366 (Topic 27). Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
