An investigation of the principles of studio lighting, theory and practice of contemporary color, location lighting, and production of portfolio-quality work, as applicable to advertising, photographic illustration, and photojournalism. Three lectures and three laboratory hours a week for one semester. Journalism 331J and 371K (Topic 2: Studio Photography) may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Communication 316 or Journalism 311F with a grade of at least B-.
