Same as Women's and Gender Studies 324G. Historical and contemporary exploration of gender and the news. Examination of the role of marginalized gender groups in producing news and the construction of gender within news texts. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Journalism 348D, Women's and Gender Studies 324 (Topic 4), 324G.
