Stabilizing the patient, minimizing complications, restoring maximum health potential through risk reduction, and providing family-centered care. Current research and evidence, theoretical models, and philosophies of care. Continued development of a critical, analytical approach to clinical decision making. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Prerequisite: Graduate standing, Nursing 393Q and 293R, concurrent enrollment in Nursing 293T, and consent of instructor.
