Demonstrate role behaviors and clinical competence consistent with that of an advanced beginner acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. Experience a concentrated and supervised opportunity to make more independent and interdependent decisions in managing emerging crisis and organ system dysfunction in children with a variety of complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions. Work collaboratively with faculty and preceptors in a variety of settings including emergency departments, intensive care units, inpatient medical/surgical units, and sub-specialty clinics. Sixteen laboratory hours a week for one semester.
