Examine the basic mathematical and computational tools central to the analysis of neural systems in a laboratory setting. Discuss linear algebra, differential equations, filtering, correlation, probability with an emphasis on quantitative methodology and applications to neuroscience. Neuroscience 466T and 466M may not both be counted. Three lecture hours and one and one-half laboratory hours a week for one semester.
