Elements of rock mechanics, drilling fluids, factors affecting rate of penetration, and well completions, including casing and tubing design. Three lecture hours and one and one-half laboratory hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Engineering Mechanics 319 with a grade of at least C-, credit with a grade of at least C- or registration for Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering 322K.
