Basics of phase behavior, classical thermodynamics in terms of material and energy balances, and applications to changes of state of petroleum fluids. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: The following with a grade of at least C-: Chemistry 302, Physics 303K, Physics 105M or 103M, and Mathematics 408D or 408M.
Restrictions: Restricted to geosystems engineering and hydrogeology and petroleum engineering majors.
