Broad issues of molecular pharmacotherapeutics, including potential and challenge for optimization of drug therapy, implications for drug development and regulation, ethical and social aspects of pharmacogenomics, signal transduction, use of knock-out mice, and informed consent process in pharmacogenomic research. Pharmacy 381W and Pharmacy Graduate Studies 381W may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
