Topic 1: Rhetoric of the Gospels. Examine the gospels as rhetorical texts, applying historical method and literary analysis to gain an understanding of how the image of Jesus Christ has been shaped from early Christianity to the present day. Rhetoric and Writing 309J (Topic: Rhetoric of the Gospels) and 309J (Topic 1) may not both be counted. Core Curriculum: 010
Topic 2: Rhetoric of Animals. Explore the ethical, political, philosophical, scientific, and artistic reasons humans have created representations of animals and the potential repercussions of these representations.
