Topic 1: Media, Communication Law, and Ethics. Contemporary ethical and policy issues facing the transforming media industries and the American public. Rooted in an understanding of the First Amendment as well as the development of communication industries, the course examines a range of topics that new media and the Internet have complicated. Only one of the following may be counted: Journalism 350M, Radio-Television-Film 365 (Topic: Media, Communication Law, and Ethics), 365C (Topic 1).
