Examines trends over time in specific aspects of family life, including marriage, cohabitation, mate selection, divorce, parenthood, family structure, and work-family balance. Study of the methods that sociologists and demographers use to study the family. Sociology 307C and 308 (Topic: American Families Past and Present) may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
