Same as Sociology 321U. Introduction to the study of the city and the suburbs. Specific focus on inequality in urban space, with emphasis on three major United States cities (New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles) and on several third world cities. Prerequisite: Forty-five semester hours of coursework.
