Explore essential leadership concepts such as listening, followership, problem solving, and interpersonal communication, and apply these principles through team-building activities. Credit is recorded as assigned by the study abroad adviser in the Department of Air Force Science. University credit is awarded for work in an exchange program; it may be counted as coursework taken in residence. Transfer credit is awarded for work in an affiliated studies program.

Build upon the leadership and team fundamentals, prepare to assume increased leadership responsibilities within the Air Force ROTC detachment and the Department of the Air Force (DAF). Emphasize practical leadership application, focusing on effective people management, ethical decision-making, and professional conduct expected of commissioned officers. Develop the tools necessary to lead others, foster organizational effectiveness, and navigate leadership challenges in a military environment. Emphasize written and oral communication, including professional writing and briefing skills, to build confidence and competence in public speaking. Examine leadership and ethics from both institutional and personal perspectives, encouraging self-reflection and continued leadership growth through guided discussion, case studies, and experiential learning.
