The Speech Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS): Bilingualism Across the Lifespan stackable graduate certificate is designed for students enrolled in the MSSLHS degree program at UT Austin who are interested in working with the bilingual population in their roles as Speech-Language Pathologists. 

Students can pursue either a focus in Spanish Specialization and Bilingualism Theory or Collaborative Models and Bilingualism Theory. Specialized coursework and experiential learning opportunities provide academic support for acquiring knowledge of bilingual populations, and culturally and linguistically appropriate service provision.

Professional Liability Insurance

Professional liability insurance is required of all students enrolled in off-campus clinical practicums in speech/language pathology or audiology. The insurance policy must cover the duration of the placement, beginning on or before the first day of the placement and extending through the final day of the placement.
