Architectural Studies (BSAS)
This degree program, with an optional architectural history concentration, is an excellent platform for future graduate studies in architecture and associated fields. The required coursework is concentrated in the first three years, leaving the fourth year to develop the student’s career interests.
Admission
Applicants for admission to this program must fulfill the Requirements for Admission to the School of Architecture.
Licensure
The degree alone does not fulfill the educational requirements for registration as an architect. Students interested in pursuing registration must complete a first-professional degree in architecture.

Additional Requirements and Policies
- Students pursuing the architectural history concentration must complete 18 of their 20 open elective hours in architectural history.
- With approval from the program director, up to six hours of related University coursework may be applied toward the elective requirement.
- Foreign language hours used to remove an admission deficiency may not be used to fulfill the electives requirement and may not be counted toward the degree
