In the interest of educating thoughtful and responsible leaders, this program brings together resources from across campus to allow students to study ethical issues in health care policy, administration and delivery, and in medical, nursing, and other health professions. Courses explore the ethical and legal implications of controversial topics such as abortion, euthanasia, palliative care, scientific research with human subjects, technological innovation, and access to health care. Through the Connecting Experiences component, students may work with community and professional organizations or bring their interdisciplinary expertise to faculty research.
