Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, Speech/Language Pathology (BSSLH)
Students majoring in speech, language, and hearing sciences may specialize in speech/language pathology or audiology. After completing the necessary undergraduate coursework, they may seek graduate degrees that are required for professional accreditation by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Students in speech/language pathology and audiology who wish to practice in Texas must be licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Additional Requirements and Policies

- No more than 54 semester hours in speech, language, and hearing sciences may be counted toward the degree.
- A candidate for a degree must have an officially declared major in the Moody College of Communication at the time the degree is awarded.
