Explore background information and gain hands-on experience with the molecular (DNA extraction, PCR, SNP genotyping) and bioinformatic (principal component analysis, admixture analysis) techniques commonly used in molecular anthropology. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Anthropology 348K (Topic: Molecular Anthropology) and 348M may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
