Examine contrasting perspectives on happiness or human flourishing offered by major thinkers, both religious and secular, representing different epochs, cultures, and theoretical approaches. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Core Texts and Ideas 339 and Philosophy 365P may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
