Study programming language constructs, scripting languages, object-oriented languages, functional languages, language semantics, software engineering design, and design patterns. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Electrical and Computer Engineering 360G, 379K (Topic: Programing Paradigms), Electrical Engineering 379K (Topic: Programing Paradigms). Offered on the letter-grade basis only. Prerequisite: Electrical and Computer Engineering 422C (or Electrical Engineering 422C), Computer Science 314, or Computer Science 314H; and Electrical and Computer Engineering 360C (or Electrical Engineering 360C), Computer Science 331, or Computer Science 331H with a grade of at least C- in each.
