ECE 371P ECE 371P. Introduction to Computer Vision. 3 Hours.

Examine image representation (by both human brain and digital); image filtering and edge detection; keypoint detection and matching; camera model and geometric calibration; stereo vision and essential/fundamental matrices; triangulation and epipolar geometry; depth estimation; video and optical flow; classical machine learning concepts; image classification; object detection and segmentation; deep learning for computer vision (basics). Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Electrical and Computer Engineering 371P, 379K (Topic: Computer Vision), Electrical Engineering 379K (Topic: Computer Vision). Offered on the letter-grade basis only. Prerequisite: The following with a grade of at least C- in each: Biomedical Engineering 343 or Electrical and Computer Engineering 313 (or Electrical Engineering 313) and Biomedical Engineering 335 or Electrical and Computer Engineering 351K (or Electrical Engineering 351K) or Mathematics 362K.
