Introduction to fundamental assumptions and procedures for conducting social science research, including the logic of science; the links between epistemology, theory, and methods; sampling; measurement; surveys; experiments; qualitative methods; and ethics. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Educational Administration 387Q, Educational Leadership and Policy 391D, 391E. Offered on the letter-grade basis only. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
