Same as Core Texts and Ideas 325C. Examine the idea of patriotism and citizenship over history, from classical antiquity to contemporary times. Analyze the moral and political value of patriotism, nationalism and cosmopolitanism. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Core Texts and Ideas 325C and Government 334E may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
