Same as Asian Studies 375D and Core Texts and Ideas 325D. Examine Chinese ethical and political philosophy, with an emphasis on the Confucian tradition, through close reading of major works. Analyze ideas from the course both philosophically and historically. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
