Explores the history, theoretical developments, and institutional forms that impact the education and the physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being of people of African descent. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted unless the topics vary: African and African Diaspora Studies 372D, 374C, 374D, 374E, 374F. May be repeated for credit when the topics vary. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing; additional prerequisites vary with the topic.
