Examines the complex phenomena of modernism and postmodernism in literature and the arts in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Asian Studies 385 (Topic: Modern and Postmodern Chinese Literary Culture) and 385M may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
